Auditions Suburban Holidays III
QP’s Annual Festival of new Holiday Plays is coming!
Auditions Sunday October 19th & Monday, October 20th @ 7pm at QP Playhouse.
Open auditions will consist of readings from the scripts, which are available by emailing the producer at email@example.com .
A wide variety of actors are needed, and the possibility to double up on lots of fun roles in various plays will be considered.
Roles (please note, ages are suggestions only, we are open to actors of all ages):
Arbor Day: 1 M 1 F – James and Christine: 20s-whenever. A new couple; age not as important as matching one another.
A Reading Thanksgiving: 3 M 1 F – William: The 50-ish year-old spiritual leader of the new settlement of Reading. A bit of a tool. Mary: William’s somewhat airheaded forty-something year-old wife. Jonathan: Teenage son of William and Mary. Miles: The raffish 30-ish military leader of the new settlement.
A Midnight Clear: 3 F – Melanie: Late 60s, in her third wig of the season. Ginny: 70s, hair the color of milkweed, voice like a nail. Betty: 60s. A Mack Truck in a Reindeer Sweatshirt
Peppers, Paul and Elizabeth: 2 M 1 F – Elizabeth: A college professor. Paul: Also a college professor. Hal: Another professor ‘seedy’ man in a checkered sport coat
Merry Whatever: 1 F Carole Weitzman: Well-groomed woman of a certain age
Ridiculous Nicholas: 2 M 1 F – Nicholas: 30s, a buffoon in a Santa suit. Maggie: Early 30s, hardworking, a bit dramatic. Joe: 30s-50s, patient and understanding bartender
Fruitcake: 2M 3F – Dillon: Boy in his early teens. Luther: 40-ish Dad. Darla: Teenage girl. Aunt Lucy: Crazy woman in her mid-70s. Denise: 40-ish Mom
Santa Doesn’t Live Here Anymore: 2 M 1 F – Dad: 50s-60s, a Da. Mom: 50s-60s, a Mom. Jeffrey: Their son, in his 30s.
Rabbit, Rabbit: 4F – Kay: A nervous type of woman in her 50s-60s. Kathy: Kay’s best friend of the same age range. Woman: about 30-40 years younger than these two. Woman: about 20 years older than these two.
