Auditions Plaza Suite
Your opportunity for a tour-de-force performance! There’s a lot going on in Suite 719 at New York City’s swank Plaza Hotel in this classic Neil Simon comedy. We are treated to three comedies played out in the same hotel suite by three couples in very different situations, each taking a look – and a poke – at marriage, morals, and middle-age. Characteristically Simon, it is hilarious, shrewd situation comedy, with witty, sassy, and acerbic exchanges and snappy one-liners that are. And in his inimitable way, Simon intertwines the comedy with the pathos and distress that is true to life. A huge success on Broadway in 1968, winning the Tony for Best Play, Neil Simon’s Plaza Suite has remained in the hearts of all theatre goers.
