Wonder of the World
By David Lindsay-Abaire. Directed by Donna Corbett.
Nothing will prepare you for the dirty little secret Cass discovers in her husband's sweater drawer. It is so shocking that our heroine has no choice but to flee to the honeymoon capital of the world in a frantic search for the life she thinks she missed out on. It's a wild ride over Niagara Falls in a barrel of laughs as Cass embarks on a journey of self-discovery that has her crossing paths with a blithely suicidal alcoholic, a lonely tour-boat captain, a pair of bickering private detectives and a strange caper involving a gargantuan jar of peanut butter, all of which pushes her perilously close to the water's edge.
Production Dates:
November 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 30 & December 1, 2007
Friday & Saturday performances are at 8:00PM; Sunday performances are at 3:00PM
Hide & Seek
By Lezley Havard. Directed by J. Mark Baumhardt.
A long abandoned farmhouse sets the stage as the new home of a pregnant Jennifer and her husband Richard. They have left the city for the peace and quiet of the country to raise their first child, and are restoring it before the baby is born. But Jennifer fears that the house may be resisting their presence. The restoration goes very slowly, the lights fail, the plumping malfunctions, and their neighbor suggests the couple should move back to the city before it's too late giving them an odd welcoming gift! Then there is the silent little girl that swings in the back yard - seen only by Jennifer - who brings this suspense-filled play to a chilling climax!
Production Dates:
February 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15 & 16, 2008
Friday & Saturday performances are at 8:00PM; Sunday performances are at 3:00PM
True West
By Sam Shepard. Directed by Nancy Curran Willis.
True West, a dark comedy from Pulitzer Prize winning author Sam Shepard, delves into the complicated relationship of two brothers. Austin, a young Stanford graduate with a promising career as a screenwriter, is paid an unexpected visit by his alcoholic desert-dwelling brother, Lee, while working on a script in their vacationing mother's home. Welcome to Sam Shepard country where nothing is what it seems to be: sibling rivalry is the norm; toasters are not just for toast; and plants die from neglect. One of Shepard's most acclaimed plays, True West was revived on Broadway in 2000 with Philip Seymour Hoffman and John C. Reilly winning Tony Award nominations for their performances.
Audition Dates:
February 17, 1PM & February 18, 7pm

May 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16 & 17, 2008
